I design games. For six years I built and ran the systems other people depended on:
workflows, fleets, inventories, small teams under pressure. The work I keep
choosing now is systems people play, so I am building one project against each
discipline of game design, and this page grows as they do.

Systems design
A turn-based tactics game on a hex board, with no randomness in it anywhere. Every outcome
resolves from position, timing and the action tokens both players committed; if you lose a
piece, the reason is legible and it was yours.
Full turn engine, animation layer, and the Sunken Court action-token set implemented and under test.
Two playable factions with opposing postures, selectable at load.
239 automated tests passing, run as a regression gate on every change.
Design decisions are written down as they are made, so the reasoning survives the session that produced it.

Honest note on what this proves: I built it by directing a system of AI agents rather than
by hand-writing every line. It is real evidence of systems design and orchestration; it is
not yet evidence that I can script it myself. That gap is the last section.

Balancing
A competitive duel on a fixed map, built to test one question: can two players race toward
genuinely different win conditions on the same board and still be balanced against each
other? Resource nodes deplete, so the map forces expansion toward your opponent instead of
walling each player into their own corner.
Map v2. Home is the hub of a plus; satellites expand outward and are placed by posture, so an aggressive player and an avoidant one read the same geography differently.
The paper design is as far as theory can honestly take it. Distance, depletion rate, and
match length are empirical questions, so the next step is a greybox: block it in world,
walk the distances, and find out where the numbers actually sit.
Skills
Systems design
Deterministic combat resolution, turn and initiative order, action-economy design, and
status effects that interact without special-casing. Writing the design reasoning down as
it is decided, so a rule can be defended or reversed later on its merits.
Balancing
Resource curves and depletion pressure, asymmetric win conditions on a shared board, and
spatial design where distance is the tuning dial. Comfortable saying which questions
theory cannot answer and need a playtest instead.
Tools
Godot 4.6 and GDScript, read and directed rather than hand-authored; Git; the GUT test
framework as a regression gate. Modded Minecraft pack composition, and enough Excel and
Figma from the working years to model a curve or draw a map before building it.

software engineer; it is literacy plus a proven ability to ship small projects
independently - fluent enough to direct the work, debug it, and speak to how it was
actually built.

Multi-agent orchestration
Five projects, each with its own scoped agent, sitting under one conductor that holds the
cross-project picture none of them can see from inside. The interesting problem was not the
agents; it was keeping their shared view of reality from rotting.
A shared written operating standard every agent loads, so behavior is versioned rather than re-explained.
Drift detection: each summary carries a provenance stamp, and a check flags any summary whose source file has changed since it was written.
Handoff markers that let each project declare what it is blocked on, aggregated automatically into one list.
Session hooks and an auto-capture pipeline, so a session that dies mid-task loses nothing.
A logging service on my phone that writes to the same files, running as a background daemon.

Job-search pipeline

Data pipeline with an LLM ranking stage
Discover, normalize, dedupe, rank, draft. It pulls postings from applicant-tracking systems
directly rather than scraping job boards, scores each one against a written rubric of what
actually fits, and hands back a ranked queue with the evidence for each score.
Ingests from Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby and RemoteOK through their own endpoints.
Ranking is an LLM scoring each posting against explicit criteria, so the sort is auditable rather than a black box.
Deliberately stops at a review queue. It never submits anything; a system acting under my name in the world is a line I did not want to cross.

Honest scope: I designed these, specified them, and debug them, working with AI coding
tools rather than hand-authoring every line. That is real systems and orchestration work
and I will not oversell it as something else. Reading the code, finding where it is wrong,
and deciding what it should do next are mine.

Promoted from Operations Coordinator in eight weeks. Coordinated the disposal and sale of
over $5,000,000 of de-fleeted vehicles nationwide, and maintained the benchmarking data
that decided whether the remarketing was actually working or just moving.

Inherited a backlog of orders falling outside expected timelines. The cause was not effort;
it was that nothing defined what "on time" meant or who owned an exception. Built the
standard that closed it.

Evaluated 3,600 participant responses for an organizational-behavior pilot study,
supporting PhD candidates' research. That many judgements against a single instrument is
where you find out whether the instrument measures what it claims to, or only what is
easy to score.

rubric. Evaluating that many attempts at the same problem, week after week, is the fastest
way I know to learn what separates a workable idea from one that only sounds workable.

Youth soccer referee, busser, line cook, mover, auto detailer, transportation assistant.
Then coaching Brazilian jiu-jitsu at Gracie Barra, and head coach of the UConn BJJ club.
The referee years are the ones that matter here. A referee is a rules engine: you hold a
ruleset in your head, adjudicate edge cases in real time, and stay consistent while both
sides argue that you are not. I was doing game design homework and did not know it.

Six years of it, running under and beside everything else on this page. It is also the
reason the Colibri operation was legible to me on the first day: I had spent five years
on the driver side of that problem before anyone asked me to design the system around
it. A bad dispatch was not a theory I needed explained to me.

Build and parking operations · contract
No official title on this one. I was one of a crew of 25 or more, brought in to build
the central compass: a circle of tiki torches, planted to a linear grid, big enough that
it only resolves into a circle once you are far enough back to see all of it. Then
parking lot operations for the event itself, which meant ingress, egress and point of
sale.

Eight months contracted directly by one client, TaCo. Content in Canva, Figma and
Adobe Premiere, on schedules tied to real KPIs. Took a blank account past 1,000
impressions by collaborating with adjacent brands, which is the cheapest growth lever
available when the budget is zero.

Production switchboard
An invitational: a small field of highly competitive athletes, streamed online for the
spectators who were not in the room. I ran the switchboard, which is where I learned it.
A live stream has no second take. You cut to the right mat while the match is still
happening, or the person watching at home does not see it at all.

A public grappling tournament, open registration. I administered it from the head desk:
Smoothcomp preparation before the doors opened, then schedule management and match flow
across the day.
The head desk is where the bracket meets the room. Whatever the schedule said in the
morning, the resolving happens live, in front of the people it affects, and the event
does not stop while you do it.
